Bowling Harbour

Always fancied a walk around this old neglected harbour, and today was the day.

The light was fantastic, and good warmth in the sun.

It didn't last too long, but this is what relaxing days are made of in my opinion.

Around the James Watt Dock

A few images from within the James Watt Dock.

The Svitzer tugs were trying out a new berth so they may be moving to a new home.

Lots of different construction work as the dock is prepared for the upcoming Tall Ships Race later this year.

Greenock Tall Ships - 2011

Greenock is hosting the Tall Ships Race this year and the venue is the James Watt Dock.

Some of the work appears to have started quite late for this event - to be held in July.

Here we see some of the construction work - including piling in the dock for the pontoons.
